When Megan looks at her four children, she sees more than little faces she loves. She sees her reason to keep going.
At just 27, Megan carries the full weight of motherhood alone. “Being a single mother is a struggle,” she says, “especially when you don’t have any help financially or physically.” But even in the exhaustion, Megan’s heart is full. “I wouldn’t trade them for anything. My children are blessings, and they motivate me every day to keep growing — as a mom, in my education, and in my work — so I can build something better for them.”
But a few days after giving birth to her son in December 2019, the weight of reality hit hard. With bills piling up and no income during maternity leave, she found herself staring at due notices — rent, water, electricity, WiFi — all coming due at once.
“I was so stressed,” she remembers. “I prayed and asked the Lord to please send me and my children a blessing to help us with our needs.”
She reached out to local churches and community groups, but nothing came through. Then, on a Facebook support page, someone mentioned LoveLine — and Megan made the call that would change everything.
“As soon as I left a message, the director texted me right away,” Megan says. “She asked for some details, and then she called me. We talked for an hour — about my life, my babies, my situation — and she assured me LoveLine could help.”
And help they did.
Through ProLove Ministries’ LoveLine, Megan and her children received the emergency assistance they desperately needed. The immediate bills were covered. The lights stayed on. Their home was safe.
But LoveLine didn’t stop there.
“They didn’t just pay a bill and move on — they cared about us. They wanted to make sure we were okay.”
For the first time in weeks, Megan could breathe again.
“Because of LoveLine, I’ve been able to actually enjoy my maternity leave — to hold my baby, to be present with my kids, without worrying if we’d lose our home. They made the impossible happen for us.”
To the staff, volunteers, and donors who make Loveline possible, Megan has one simple message:
“Thank you. You were God’s answer to my prayer.”
